Hello everyone! I am already booked for a Friday in January, however I am wondering if there might be a huge price difference (if any) if I were to switch to the Sunday before Memorial day. Anyone doing a Sunday pm wedding the day before a holiday? If so, can you please let me know quotes and if there was a difference between that and say a Friday pm wedding??
Any info would be appreciated! I emailed my venue but they haven't gotten back to me =(
I would be switching from Jan 2 2015 (Fri) pm to May 24 or 25th (I think) 2015 - Sunday pm (day before memorial day).

Some halls have a price difference for Holidays, I'm having mine on the 4th of July and there wasn't a difference because it's a Friday Anyway. But I have heard of places charging Sunday before a Holiday like Saturdays, which I think is crazy. There is def a price difference between Jan and May, but hopefully your hall doesn't add on anything for holidays!

I am the Sunday before memorial day! Some halls will keep the Sunday pricing (mine did!) but others will charge Saturday night pricing for a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Call a few halls you like and see if you will get Sunday pricing. I am SO happy we did this, because OOT family can come earlier/stay longer since its a long weekend, and we got Sunday pricing for basically a Saturday :)

I'm getting married this July 4th, which is a Thursday and it was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than a Friday or Saturday wedding.

We looked at doing the samething but for Labor day, and if its the day before a holiday a couple of the venus we went to see treat the Sunday before a holiday like a Saturday. So we would be getting charged the same amount as a Saturday. We went with a Monday evening on Labor day and saved about $50 per person.

I'm the Sunday before Columbus Day and our venue gave us Sunday pricing. However, some venues that we looked at were considering that day as a Saturday. Your venue may charge you more since you are moving the date from 'off season' to 'in season'.

we tried for columbus day weekend originally, when probably 1/2 of the people who have off labor day weekend have off. this was only at one venue but it was MORE $$ than a friday night! crazy!

I'm getting married the Sunday before Memorial day and I believe it's cheaper than a Friday. Like someone else posted every venue is different so it really depends on them.
