We either go to both houses or alternate years it depends what would work better for us. Most of the times we are going to both houses!

When we were dating would do both, or alternate. Thanksgiving was always a tough one. But now that we have a house and a family WE do thanksgiving! I love it. His dad, wife and the kids sleep over the night before (they live in south jersey) and then my mom comes for dinner. It's the best.

My family and FH's family live in different states. Normally we do my family for Christmas Eve and Christmas because they do it the same every year with our dinner traditions. FH wants to do his family for the next Christmas but it will be so different since his whole family never all gets together like mine. All of the other holidays we pretty much alternate for. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to cave in this Christmas and do it with his family

FH normally works on Thanksgiving but when he doesn't we will alternate

We usually alternative holidays. Unless one side is attending something else or no hosting. When we get a house we plan on hosting holidays though I unfortunately have to alternate still cause my sister has a house and wants to host everything.

We usually try and split the day. We will do dinner with one family and dessert with the other. Sometimes for Thanksgiving we go out of state so some years we'll stay home. It seems to work out for us.

We do both but it's too much!! I keep trying to get FH to agree to odd and even year lol even years we go to my family odd years his.its fine to do both now but when we have kids it's gonna be a nightmare! My family won't have kids but his does so if we go to his family first we r never going to get our kids out of there and when we do they will be cranky for my family that's no fun!!

Its hard for me with my parents (divorced) and then his parents (at least they are together) so I have to try and alternate or split 3 ways every holiday...ugh.

FH's parents live in Florida, so his whole family goes to Florida usually the week after Thanksgiving to celebrate both Christmas and Thanksgiving, they call it Thanksmas. Works out great for me lol
