I would love to host a GTG at my place with a wine and cheese theme. I need to look at my calendar to make sure that I can do it after the Jewish High Holy Days on a Saturday when FH is out playing football. Though after this week's mild concussion, who knows if he will want to play.

It would have to be on either Saturday, October 15th or Saturday, October 22nd. When you guys have recovered from today, let me know and we can start a poll for a date unless you would rather do a GTG in a restaurant. I am in New Hyde Park, not that far into LI from Queens.

I can't - too painful. I am so jealous of you. Should I start a poll on dates for the next GTG? Would people rather go to a restaurant?

Leslie, classic pics, I'm serious...check it out!

Personally it was soooooooooo nice at Hollie's, rather than a restaurant. We were outside talking for hours and just relaxing & everyone contributed to the food/beverage situation. It was a really nice time. I'd love a GTG at a house over a 'place of business.'

i dont mind either a restaurant or some elses house is fine with me. start a poll.

at someone's house is nice bc everyone can bring something and we can sit and talk for hours if we like

Sounds that way, I think people wouldnt feel as rushed to leave. I am going to get a list of dats together that do not interfere with my holidays and see what I/we come up with.

I am hoping a Saturday is good because FH plays football. Maybe he wont get a concussion on that day like he did this week. He ended up on his back like a turtle apparently. Nailed his tailbone and the back of his keppy ('head' for all of my non-yiddish speaking friends). Poor guy can't walk. I suppose I should offer more pity but I hate the damn sport and he knew the risks.

Thanks. He will survive. I did tell him to train before he played. He didn't. I think had he prepared himself to possibly take a hit, he would have recovered much better - but what do I know? I'm just a silly football widow.

Someone's house is fine. Fridays are no good for me becuase I work in Manhattan and by the time I got home and drove out to LI, it would be like midnight with that traffic.
