questions, how exactly does this work? i'm seeing some of the rates for these vacations ($2 a nite for AI in mexico!) and it is just amazingly cheap? you bid on it , and they send you a voucher or something?

Re: HOLLY MOLEY!!!!! CHECK THIS OUT~!!!!!!
Ok.......I asked my friend that uses them and this is what she said.....(I'm just pasting our IM conversation.....)
Kar: hay...how does sky auction work? (of course if your busy you can tell me later...) O11: not that busy O11: you have to sign up O11: then you look for auctions you want Kar: do you pay to sign up? O11: nope O11: the auctions are grouped by country O11: then hotel or air or pkg O11: crusies are separate O11: when you see something you like, you can add it to your auction watch O11: you need to be logged in to do that O11: new ones are posted every day, so if someone outbids you, keep an eye out for it to come up again O11: you can go into your 'members' section O11: and look at all the auction you're watching O11: it'll tell you how much it's going for and when it ends O11: i usually bid at the last minute O11: it's kind of like ebay O11: you have to confirm your bid (or auto bid) O11: and there's a processing fee (maybe $20?) O11: it'll tell you right away if you're the top bidder O11: where do you want to go? Kar: I don't know yet...just looking really. So if you win the bid what happens? O11: you have to pay - they usually give you a deadline O11: it says - purchase by 'date' for the auction O11: if you don't pay, i don't think they'll do anything, but you might eventually be blackballed if you keep bidding and not paying Kar: so after you pay what happens? O11: there's a form you fill out when you pay O11: you have to give them dates, passeger info, etc. O11: they usually get back to you in a few days Kar: they send you confirmations and all? O11: yep O11: oh - my hotel in costa rica was through them too Kar: sounds good....do you remember how much you paid? O11: never had a problem O11: it was about $90pp per night (6 nights) for all-incl Kar:: wow that's really good! and that included food and drinks? O11: yeah - food and drinks all day every day Kar: cool! thanks!

yes. its legit.
Make sure you read all the fine print.
ie.. some of the condos.. you bid for the auction , then it will state that you pay 'x' amount a week extra, or a per night/ per adult fee.

yes! and make sure you take note if the price is for two, or per person! but both of these sites are awesome! i'm so excited to have come across them :)

Re: HOLLY MOLEY!!!!! CHECK THIS OUT~!!!!!!
YEP I used them about two years ago, i got a 3 bedroom apartment in Kissimmee, FL(in one of those time share places) for $350 for the WEEK.
I won the bid at $150 and then there was a $200 surcharge of some sort, but thats still AMAZING, there were 6 of us that stayed there for the entire week and ended up paying, hmm let me do the math
$350/7 days = $50 a day/6people = $8.30 a day for each of us!!!
i love skyauction!
but you do have to read it thoroughly... definitely know the surcharge before bidding.. if i was bidding on an airine ticket that was $350, i wouldnt want to pay another $200 surcharge (if the surcharge was applicable).. always read the fine print :)
