HOLY ****!!!

Seriously I am sooooo glad I am quitting smoking for New Years!

I just almost burned my apartment down! I dumped an ashtray and started to put on shoes and socks to take out the trash and I look up and the wrapping paper and tissue paper are flaming in the kitchen.....I cant help but say I actually just while I attempted to put it out

Just had to share, that totally would have sucked

its ok, I was hysterical!!!
I was like W T F is that smell and one shoe on and the other foot with just a sock trying to put it out and laughing-my eyes were tearing it was awful......but so funny b/c all I have been saying is I swear one of these days im going to burn the place down almost did tonite

Thank God you caught it early and it didn't spread!! Congrats on quitting! I quit four years ago and it's the best thing I could have done for myself.

It was one of the hardest things that I ever did, but believe me it is worth it. I had gone for a physical at my doctors when I was still smoking and my lung capacity was not what it should have been for someone my age. This scared me and I also felt out of breath going up stairs or walking short distances and felt sluggish all the time. It was so hard to quit but I knew I had to in order to feel better and prevent future problems. One thing that helped was carrying around sucking candy for any time that I got an urge. Over time it just got easier and easier and now I never crave one...they discust me. Good luck!! It's the best thing you can do for yourself!!

congrats on quitting they always say the first week is the hardest but once you get past that it gets easier!

I've quit several times lol......don't allow yourself even just 1 after you do quit, it kind of renews the addiction. I'm trying to get FH to quit for New Years, he keeps telling me he's not ready, but I just think he'll never be ready.
