I am gonna shove a red hot poker up Glen Cove School District's collective @$$HOLE right now!!!! They have been consistently giving me the run around on enrolling FSD in school. I was told that she couldn't get in until the second day of school (HELLO, its FIRST GRADE, she can't miss the first day!!!) So I called the superintendent who told me it was unacceptable and that I could have an appt for them to go over my paperwork today so we could get her in.
When I was on the phone for the original appointment the secretary told me that YES, I could register her even though I'm not a legal guardian and NO we didn't need court documentation stating that FH was...
So of course, today rolls around and I get a call at 10:35 saying they were double booked and could I come in at 10:30....I'm sorry, is there a time machine somewhere I don't know about?!?! I get there at 10:50 after rushing out the door, only to be told I DO in fact need a copy of the court documentation....ARRRRRG WTH!!!!
There just happened to be a news crew at the building who was trying to speak to the superintendent...they were told to leave the premesis. They wanted to interview me about the first day of school and swine flu, I told them if they really wanted to report on something, they should report on the fact that everyone in this district pays taxes out the nose and they STILL give you a run around when you want to enroll your child in school.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS. If she is not in school on the first day I'm seriously going to start bowling with people's skulls!!
Sorry so long....I just REAAAAAALLY needed to get that out!!!

So right now I got her previous school district to fax over their copy of the order and I have a request in to Greene County in Ohio for a certified copy of the order to give to these stupid people. I have another meeting with the (STUPID C UNT) registrar on Thursday at 3:30 (for what, I don't know...she's already looked over all my paperwork, everything is just pending the order) and I'm sure she's going to whine because I went over her head to the superintendent...but she can kiss my @ss because I'm gonna do what I gotta do for FSD and I can't worry about her hurt feelings.
The Superintendent knows we've been having issues and we've got a very close family friend on the School Board, NOT TO MENTION that they will be harassed by a lawyer (my mom lol) if something goes wrong...so she WILL be in school on the first day OR ELSE.
