Platinum OR Plastic . . . watch the show, vote online for which wedding was more expensive . . . . see the results next week!!!

Brings traffic to the network AND their website.

And the FH brilliantly said 'competition will make the lavish wedding planners go even MORE over the top and the lower end planners find even BETTER stuff for good prices,' starting a wedding planning revolution!!

GIRLS, please post feedback if you think these are good ideas, because I have proposed it to WeTV, but want to forward the 'market research' to back it up . . . I KNOW this is a good idea!!

'Platinum vs. Plastic' -- competition -- here's a platinum wedding, now make your wedding look the same for a fraction

AND/OR

'Platinum or Plastic -- You Decide' -- viewers vote which wedding they think cost more!! No brand names, no planners names, no vendor names until the wrap up . . . . just what the wedding LOOKS LIKE, and we decide which looks more expensive

It's unreal. They need to make a show that compares weddings . . . . and call it 'Platinum vs. Plastic' -- we can get what they get for 10% of what they pay!!!! I've seen a wedding on there that is JUST LIKE MINE and I'm not spending even 40K, let alone 400K!!!

OOOH, I think I just came up with a great idea!!!

The show could show the two weddings, and then compare how they came out and the budget!!!

I am officially claiming and copyrighting this idea . . . . think I'll get in touch with WE TV tomorrow!!!

They already have one similar...Rich Bride, Poor Bride.

Everytime I watch Platinum Weddings and they talk about the vases flown in from Paris and the hand beaded tablecloths they custom designed, the 24k gold chargers, and the 2500000000000 Swarovski (sp) crystals they incorporated, I always think... do they get to keep that or are they rentals like how everyone else does?

All of the flowers we see at any wedding, funeral, supermarket etc.... have been imported.
Nothing special.

Where the hell do people think the ones in the stores come from???!!!!!!!??????

Flowers come in from all different places in the world.... Why these girls think that thier flowers were soooo special that they had to be 'flown in' is beyond me.

I want to gag everytime I hear that.

And honestly... shame on those florists that make it a much bigger deal then it is.

Like how else are they flowers going to get there?

Oh thats a good question!!!!! I never even thought about that. If I was having all of this stuff thrown in I would def be keeping it. I'd figure something out with where to put it all

Its all rentals. They dont get to keep it.

Exactly!!! Like the 'martini bar' which is included in many weddings, or the 'signature drink' which if you tell your bartender to make, he'll make it. People are paying $30K for these 'luxuries' which are included in weddings costing, total, less than what people are paying for the martini bar or signature drink!!!

IMHO spending $400K on a one day party is just tacky and ridiculous.A marriage is more than one day, it is a lifetime and $400K could be put towards many other things like a house, your children's college education, retirement, etc.
