I've work at a florist for over 10 years... and here is the big secret....

ALL THE EFFING FLOWERS ARE FLOWN IN!
No matter what ou want them for!
All of the flowers we see at any wedding, funeral, supermarket etc.... have been imported.
Nothing special.


Where the hell do people think the ones in the stores come from???!!!!!!!??????

Flowers come in from all different places in the world.... Why these girls think that thier flowers were soooo special that they had to be 'flown in' is beyond me.


I want to gag everytime I hear that.

And honestly... shame on those florists that make it a much bigger deal then it is.


Like how else are they flowers going to get there?

i think this is a good idea for a show, would definitely be interesting.

Also i know to us 400K is ALOT of money and well it is but to people who are multi-millionaires and have money coming out of their A** its not a big deal to them. To them spending $400k is like us spending $40k.

Everytime I watch Platinum Weddings and they talk about the vases flown in from Paris and the hand beaded tablecloths they custom designed, the 24k gold chargers, and the 2500000000000 Swarovski (sp) crystals they incorporated, I always think... do they get to keep that or are they rentals like how everyone else does?

OMG! This is the funniest! Do you know something. I went to visit a florist and there was this girl who was like well on plant weddings, this girl had this flower flown in. so the woman that was helping me started laughing and she told me that show is crazy and they must do it on purpose because these people are paying so much money for the flowers but she told me that all flowers come from the same place and every florist has the same or can get the same flowers that those girls have on that show! lol Makes you wonder why you would spend so much money when you can get the same for less!

i think that the weddings on that show are def expensive but i think that a lot of the prices are exaggerated or rounded up, thats just my opinion though

i just think that in some locations they do jack up the prices bc they know they can charge alot and people will pay. For example lets say on madison avenue, or a florist who works with rich city people. They will charge more for the same thing just bc they know they can get it.

Also in other states, they dont get all these things included the way we do. They have to pay for so many extras that our RH's include in our price.

this is a great idea for a show!!!! i would totally watch it and i would even want to be on the show!!! great idea!!
