HOLY F*CK

OMG I thought that classes started on WEDNESDAY and I happened to glance at my academic calandar and I see they start TOMORROW. I dont even have my syllabus made!!! AHHH this is my worst nightmare! Totally unprepared to teach a class tomorrow!!!!

i've had teachers just not show up on my first day of class...
so you're at least a head of them lol.

don't make a sylabus just tell them what books to buy and what the course is about, you can give them the papers the next time, let them out early, they'll love you.

OMG thank god the 2 classes I'm teaching (Freshman Comp and Developmental Writing) I've taught before! I dug up some old syllabi and used them as reference! I ran out of printer paper and had to print some of them on expensive resume paper! AHHH!!!

Yeah I keep them for like 30 min. Attendance, syllabus, 10 min writing, introductions, DONE.

Take tomorrow to get to know the kids. let them know what you expect from them and don't. Then let them know that they will be recieving their syllabus on tuesday. Their HW can be returning their lunch forms and blue cards. Let them know if they don't hand it in on tuesday then HW #1 is a 0.

Ahhh I dont even know what a blue card or a lunch form is!! I ended up getting them done, I just have to run to staples between my 2 classes tomorrow and copy the 2nd batch of syllabi, b/c I didn't have enough paper. Wish me luck!! Nite ladies!!!
