We just closed yesterday and the tank was on empty so we were told you can't let it go totally empty so we had to get some oil in it. Anyway, we called today and got a rate of $2.15.

I just got quoted at Petro for $2.099 and I was worried that was not good.. Help, I locked in..

I'm not sure which company since I didn't call. I will let you know. But I'm assuming $2.099 is good. I thought $2.15 was pretty good given the price of oil lately.

we WERE getting 1.39 a gallon w/ slomins but the contract expired and we re-negoiated @ 2.09 a gallon.

We locked in maybe like late fall/early winter when we got a bill that was $2.79 and maybe even $3.19!!! ![]()
We had been locked in for a year at some good rate (I can't remember what it was) but it expired and DH didn't notice![]()
I soooooo think it's time for us to shop a new oil company!!

Oh man, that is how they get ya. You have to pay attention to when it expires, otherwise you pay market price..
I would switch, can you get out of it?? Try calling Petro. In my experience, you can really haggle with them..

So, they don't let you know when you're rate expires!!![]()
Guess we need to make sure to check it out. I felt ripped off last year when we signed at $1.69, I am going to be sooo unhappy this year, huh?![]()

SAME thing happened to us. i told them that the rate was WAY too high and although we are VERY satisifed w/ their service and have been reliable customers for many years we were going to have to change companies. we went back and forth and settled at 2.09.
