State Farm---> $915 per year (same coverage as Allstate, but State Farm gives a 20% cushion on the replacement value in case you contract to rebuild your house and it costs more than the replacement value)
Geico---> $1675
Obviously, we're NOT going with Geico...But has anyone heard whether State Farm is better than Allstate or vice versa? Thanks!

Re: Home Owner's Insurance
We did a lot of research and Allstate came in the least expensive.

Re: Home Owner's Insurance
We have State Farm and get a discount because we insure both our home and my car through them. Our homeowners insurance is like $660 a year.

Re: Home Owner's Insurance
Thanks girls! I should also add that the quotes above are with a $500 deductible. What deductible do you all have?

Re: Home Owner's Insurance
I have State Farm with that 20% cushion and 500 deduct. THey are wonderful. We received a discount for installing an alarm system with central station monitoring and hardwiring smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Very friendly company.

Re: Home Owner's Insurance
We rent, but have a homeowner's policy (it's even listed as such on the policy). We have a 3BR apartment in a 2 family house in Queens and our broker found the cheapest policy with Hanover, including an additional rider for my e-ring. I think our policy is just over $400 per year.
