Re: Homeowners Poll - RE: Basements

We have a full basement under the original house, a crawl space under the addition the family put on in the 1960s (house was built in 1938).

It is not finished... yet...

Re: Homeowners Poll - RE: Basements

None.

Funny that was the one thing that nagged on us and part of a reason that we did not bid on it the first time seeing it.

Ours is fully finished (previous owners rented it out as an apartment), so it has a kitchen and full bath too.

Full basement sort of finished.

Really want to get it redone in the next few years but need to find a good contractor.

Re: Homeowners Poll - RE: Basements

Full basement 3/4 finished. The other 1/4 is unfinished with washer and dryer and tool bench and stuff. Only problem is the finished side is filled with a million boxes and all sorts of stuff that either needs to be thrown out or yard saled!!! DH is a complete pack rat who never, ever throws anything away..'I might need it someday. You never know'. Drives me nuts.

Re: Homeowners Poll - RE: Basements

wendy, me too!

3/4 is finished- but currently being used for storage of our boxes & 'stuff'. we only moved in a few months ago so it will take me awhile to clean that up! it will eventually become a play room for our future children.

1/4 is unfinished with washer/dryer, ironing board, work bench, A/C unit, etc.

we live on a hill & miraculously we have not had any leaks from all this rain!
