500k - my God!!! The owner must have nearly passed out! Was the house even on the market, or did some stranger just knock on the door!? WOW!!! (I'm wondering if it is the super expanded, completely redone house that is in my section! If it is, I heard it was magnificant!)

hehe.. MIL's house is on Loring Road.. the huge one next to the ballfield.. you know that huge one their beuilding? that one just went into cotnract for 500k.. it's going to be ridiculous.. MIL designed that house for herself before finding her oceanfront condo in Long Beach,,

Which is the better school district in Levittown now Im intrigued. Maybe we can look at Levittown now, the hell with Merrick and Wantagh, althoguh I love the Mandalay section of Wantagh

Yeah, she designed it as her dream home.. it's a Muttontown/Oyster Bay Cove (she grew up there) style house.. it's gorgeous and HUGE... she ended up stumbling upon an oceanfront condo in Long Beach so she gutted that out and redid it, and sold the other one.. for 500K! imagine.. although, those people will NEVER have to do a thing to that house.. it's weird when I go over to her house and see that new house there.. so werid.(ps she owns the other big one with the HUGE driveway right next door.. )
D, the *best* school district in Levittown is Macarthur..

Houses everywhere are on the rise. When me and DH started looking at co-ops in howard beach, they were going 120,000 for a two bedroom, now 2 bedrooms have skyrocketed to 180,000 and up. Its too crazy!!!
