Ok, why am I NOT surprised this happened in Texas? This is also the place that recently reprinted all of their health textbooks to define marriage as being between a MAN AND A WOMAN and not between two people, like it has said for ages.

And why is this even more trrifying? Because TX has so many students, when they place a textbook order, the publishers make the change on all book editions so effectively this move by Texas school board will affect 30 states worth of school books. Apparantly you can teach intolerance.

luvsbob... are you kidding? arent these HS kids?? besides.. theyre not FORCED to do that.. its for fun, homecoming week... we had days like that in my school.. you arent forced to wear PJs on pj day... its out of fun.

No matter what choosing for one day to dress like the opposite sex is not going to confuse a person about their gender. I remember as a child my brothers dressing up like women for halloween. Trust me it did not turn either one of them into a homosexual.

What happened to letting your children have some fun and use their imagination?

I think that if that parent disagrees with the practice then thats her issue. Just dont let her child participate but if other students want to they should be allowed to do so. A parents job is to teach their child but at the same time you have to let them make decisions for themselves..letting a kid wear opposite sex clothing is not going to turn them into a homosexual, its not something that is 'catching'..it can be learned behavior but its a whole lot deeper than cross dressing.

Oh yeah..dressing as the opposite sex CAN make you wonder about gender.

Senior year of HS me and Fh dressed up as each other. I got so confused, I thought I was a man, and thenhe got so confused and thought he was gay, but it's all good cause now we're gay lovers!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think it would confuse little kids either. Clothing is just clothing and it's just for fun. When I was young I dressed as bart simpson for hallween!
