Im having second thoughts about having a Sunday wedding. We are getting married at the RH so the church issue isn't the problem. My RH and photographer are booked already but I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts about people coming from out of town that will be inconvienced by taking off Monday from work and the local guests that will be annoyed coming to a sunday wedding.
My FH and I originally decided to get married on Jan 2 the day after New Years which happens to be a Sunday so that most of his family could come up from puerto rico for new years and spend a little time in New York between christmas and the wedding. The wedding will be over by 9pm so that most of our local guests can get home and go to work the next day. I'm also starting to worry about vendors...are salons actually open on sundays esp over the holidays? and I heard most florists don't deliver on sundays? Any brides out there with the same issues or concerns? And What do you guys honestly think as a guest, going to a Sunday wedding from 3-9pm??

I'm getting married on a Sunday @ 2:30pm...I never thought twice about it being an issue. :)

If your RH and photogs are already booked, just keep it on that day. You can get someone to come to a hotel or your house for makeup and hair and florists that do weddings will certainly deliver on a Sunday. It's your wedding so I think you shouldn't inconvenience yourself trying to make everyone happy. It's not that inconvenient to have a Sunday evening wedding. If it's over by 9, it's enough time to go home and go to bed.
ITA...My brother had a sunday wedding and it was planned in like 5-6 months. It was supposed to be 75 guest and ballooned to like 150 and no one left early and it was ovr at midnight. So you will be fine

I wouldn't worry at all. 9PM is PLENTY of time, and I'm sure vendors will be open to business, especially for a wedding since they will be making lots of $$

I am having a Sunday night wedding and I have had no problems booking vendors. I sent out save the dates a year in advance so people were aware that our wedding was on a Sunday.

I wouldn't worry. 9 is very reasonable. We are getting married on Sunday as well-and our wedding will end later than yours. We were actually set on having a Sunday wedding. We didn't give much thought to other days of the week. And so far, no one has given us a problem about it.
