I am getting married on a Sunday night in the summer.
For favors, we are giving a full bottle of rose wine and godiva heart chocolates.
We are having a full vinesse hour.
Anyway- is the Krispy Kreme donut thing too much for when the guests walk out or is it a nice touch...
My parents think it is cheesy- i think it is something the guests will remember....
if you said do something else- please explain!!!

Re: Honest Opinions ...
I voted that you could do something else...I went to a bat mizfah (sp?) years ago (when I was around that age), and it got out late, they had the valet parkers put a ny times, and a bag of bagels in every car-I thought it was such a classy touch-I know some girls here have talked about bagels carts, or prezel carts on the way out... if you are having a full vienesse I would do something without sweets.... Also, a girl on here (I can't remember who) did a whole display of ice cold bottled water with personalized labels-and people were commenting that it was a great idea, guests had something to quench thier thirst on the ride home.....
eta: she had it the water set up in a display for guests at the end of the wedding....

What about bagels? It would be a nice change after all the sweets!! Then they can wake up in the morning and have one

Re: Honest Opinions ...
I think it is a cute idea. FH and I really want to offer italian ices (ideally Ralph ices cause they are SO good) as guests exit. We are having an afternoon wedding, so it may still be hot out. Bottled water is a nice idea too, especially since your guests may be soo full from eating all the desserts at the viennese hour!
If you are having a full viennese hour, I might do something besides Krispy Kreme....(although I do LOVE Krispy Kreme and would be quite happy to receive that even with a full stomach )

I like the water idea...after all the dancing and partying that would be refreshing...and simple. Sweets will be too much.

Too many sweets might be overkill.
I'd opt for water or even the hot pretzels!

I totally agree. Your guests will probably already be on sugar overload!

I agree. Its a sweets overkill imo.
I would go with personalized bottles of water or bagels that they can enjoy the next morning.

Re: Honest Opinions ...
Why don't you serve the Krispy Kremes AT the viennese hour? I would remember that.
IMHO, the whole Krispy Kreme thing is a little.....uuummmm.....done.

I love the idea of the personalized water bottles.....but they could also save the Krispy Cremes for breakfast the next morning, just like the bagels
