After reading a few posts and reviews, I think it is time that LIWeddings created a specific section where people can go and express their concerns/regrets about their experiences without defaming anybody in particular. I think people are afraid to post their true experiences because they are afraid of the repercussions.
A lot of vendors have benefited from this site but at times they forget that each brides is just as important as the next. If people were able to truly express their experiences perhaps vendors will realize the importance of LIWeddings and the power it possess.

I agree. I would love to hear both sides of the story. Maybe the vendor can explain her/himself or maybe the bride was just over whelmed that day or was just being a bridezilla. Whatever the case, we should be able to praise a vendor for a job well done or express our frustration for lack of service.

I think we should have a code word for any negative review we would like to post when writing in the 'brides review' section...or any section for that matter. When it comes your time to write your review, type the vendors name and instead of a grade, write 'FM me for the details' This should be written instead of a 'negative' review that may get pulled off the board. This way you are not saying anything negative, but a bride-to-be can FM you to get the not-so-rosy review of the particular venue or vendor. You may have to cut and paste your story a lot, but it would be worth it to save another bride from going through the negative experience you had to endure.
Now that the administrators of the LIW boards have seen this,,,is my post going to get booted???
ITA, however imagine you made a post about a popular vendor, can you imagine the amount of FM you would get.? I think it would easier if they created a forum where negative experiences can be expressed in a tactful and informative manner. Add a disclosure to it stating that you can be held liable for defamation by vendors. Allow vendors access to this side to give there part. I think having this would definately allow vendors to fix mistakes they made either to the bride or for future brides. No vendor is perfect and hearing negative experiences can only help them become a great company. Isnt that why companies have customer satisfaction surveys?
