K, so I've been screwing around with monograms. I have 2 to choose from....not too different. If neither, that's fine, please say so. I have about 25 days until my trial expires, so I have plenty of time to work on it. You wont hurt my feelings....promise!!
Any creative suggestion are more than welcome too...or any tips on using photoshop and illustrator, as I've only used them for about a week.

Thank you! I'm trying to find a way to make the yellow box not so ummm...don't know the word, it just looks like it's there....with no soft edge or anything....not sure how to explain it. There's just something that seems 'off' and I can't figure it out! I like the one with date at bottom, FH with date all around.

I would take out the word 'and' altogether.
I like the date at the bottom if you must have it at all, but I would change the font to something extremely clean and simple and smaller.

i actually really like the design! i'm more of a 'less is more' type of person, so if you kept working at it, maybe take some things out so it's not so 'busy' looking.
i like the pop of yellow (i know you weren't so sure about that). what if you were to make the yellow be in the background (it would take on the shape of a diamond), with the black design on top of it? not really sure what you'd do with the initial, but i'm sure you could play around with it and come up with something!
keep trying, though... i think it's looking good! :)
p.s. what if you try adjusting the font sizes. like have your names stay that size, but then have the word 'and' be written smaller. and for the date, maybe put it fairly small on the very bottom (maybe even use a different font, just to break up the monotony a bit? or even write it out in numbers... 7 • 28 • 12)?? just some ideas...

are you planning on only using the monogram for the wedding or also using it after the wedding to make a stamp or cards?
if you plan to keep it I would make one without the full date and maybe just the year also
