I think I might want to have Friday afternoon to myself.... (I'm also not a softball/bowling kind of gal )

But i think if your family is on board, go for it!!

ETA: And by 'I might want to have Friday afternoon to myself' I mean that YOU - as the bride to be - might want to use that time to touch up a mani-pedi, or just relax!!!!! Entertaining guests takes a lot out of you! You don't want to be exhausted for your wedding!

OMG noooooooo you are not planning much, it sounds like a ton of fun. Bowling party sounds awesome, can I come . No seriously your guests will appreciate it so much, if I was a guest at a wedding like this I would love it, they wont be bored

can you cut thursday? don't you need the rehersal and want the rehersal dinner?

I don't think you've planned too much, as long as your friends and family are up for it. Mine would never go for a wedding weekend.

If you want to cut anything I think you can rid of the Friday brunch.

I'm also not big on day after brunches but if that's something you want go for it!

Well if you really want to do this, get some of your BM and family members to help with some of the days event. I am sure if you ask they will NOT say no!!

I would personally go for it!! this is a once in a lifetime experience and you get to spend tons of time with family.

I would say your defiantly not planning to much! those who can make it im sure will have a great time! and if you feel like it might be to much, cut out friday so you have the day before to rest, and to get all your stuff together for the day of!

i think you should keep the events but put other people in charge of them. . . that way - you dont have to actually PLAY in the softball game but you can come cheer for an hour or two then go do what you have to do - maybe play one game of bowling then go off by yourself etc

if you have to attend all the events - for me, i wouldnt be able to do it - i am trying to figure out a way to have a completely FREE day the day before . . but that is just how i am.

also for the day after brunch - i think i would want to be alone with my new husband at that time. . .but that is just me i know they are very popular - he he they make me feel guilty bc i am not even telling anyone WHERE i am staying after the wedding so we can be completely alone!

i think thurs. is just fine. and perhaps some ppl are feeling like the friday is like a day that is being 'planned' for them, and that's why they might complain.

i think you might want to cut out a little on friday--so some OOT guests can relax or do their own thing. not to mention, i'm surprised you'd be able to have a planned out day like that...the day before the wedding you might have last minute stuff to tend to! i think you should keep friday daytime open to take care of anything last minute. (you can still keep the bowling on fri. nite!)

oh yeah i have to say that if i was invited to a wedding that had thursday/friday events i would probably only show up friday after work unless i was in the bridal party - can you make the rehearsal on friday so that people can choose what they want to attend?
