Re: Honest Thoughts Please -Am I planning too much?
I think you have a lot planned but I don't think there is anything wrong with it...but if you had to cut a day out, i'd say friday...and i'd tell you to have the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner on that day instead..so basically, I think the first things to go would be the softball game, etc..

i think it all sounds great.. my only concern would be friday. are you sure you wont have last minute things to do? I would be worried to plan that many things incase things come up. just my opinion.

extended that are ootg, only b/c we have 2 other weddings in '08 too..
Jan in Vegas Labor Day (suffolk)
They're complaining abput how their vacay time is used for weddings & not really vacay
Hmmm not a big dilemna. Not to worry!!
If you really have a skip something, skip the Friday night bowling. That way you can get an early night rest before the weddding.
and how about switching the brunch and softball game for before the rehersal??
It's a tough one. I mean itf it's like 3-4 out of townever complaing, then go along with your orignal plans. But if it's like 10 or more, then you might want to reconsider.

So We're having a 'wedding weekend'.
our orignal time line:
Thursday - rehersal thursday -Rehersal dinner
Friday -
Private Brunch (11-1pm) Soft ball game - (3pm-5pm) Welcome bowling party (7-11pm)
Sat.
Wedding 5:30- 11:30 After -Party - 11:30 - ????
Sunday-
Day after brunch
Do you think I've planned to much? I'm thinkig of cutting thursday all together, what are your thoughts?
I think Thursday, Sdaturday, and Sunday are more than enough.
My only recm'd is for Friday, and I would do either the softball game or the bowling, but not both. I would give the guests a chance to view the grounds and use the pool and see some sites.
Plus, you may want that extra time to yourself to deflate the day before the wedding. Go spoil yourself with some spa services. God forbid something happens during one of those activities.

Re: Honest Thoughts Please -Am I planning too much?
that sounds like a fun wedding weekend. def not planning to much. I plan on doing every party I can for my wedding it's your wedding and no one will complain. I wanna do a welcome bowling party lol.
be careful with the after party thing, we might do that but we're worried no one will wake up for the brunch the following day!

I hope so, I'm hearing some complaints about Thursday night & friday -day events
i think thurs. is just fine. and perhaps some ppl are feeling like the friday is like a day that is being 'planned' for them, and that's why they might complain.
i think you might want to cut out a little on friday--so some OOT guests can relax or do their own thing. not to mention, i'm surprised you'd be able to have a planned out day like that...the day before the wedding you might have last minute stuff to tend to! i think you should keep friday daytime open to take care of anything last minute. (you can still keep the bowling on fri. nite!)
Thanks, I 've been debating about cutting and making some changes and this and the advice from ChrissnRicky . Really helped
The guest will probably prefer to take friday to travel and explore the mansion on their own once they arrive, thanks

Wow I can't believe how organized you are!!! I would never be able to pull all of that off. It sounds like it would be tons of fun.
Don't let anyone upset you. The people that are the most important will MAKE the time to be there for you and won't complain.
Anyone else can go to HE double hockey sticks!!!!
