im venting bc these are CLOSE FAMILY...we see them for everything...i think thats just ridiculous
I dont think you're rude at all...FH and I worry about this all the time. His family has all the money in the world and they refuse to part with it. And those are the people FH busts his *** for everyday!!! (he works with them)

get everything out on here, DO NOT take this off the computer. you need to vent everything in your head right now to us, you dont wanna snap to these people, if your bro and sil are going to address it that's fine, it's their issue. you have every right to be pissed, i would be furious. you really are a great sister, you can just tell that from how angry you are for them. let it out girl!!!!!!!
haha dude!!! i get paid biweekly...
i made sure i didnt do ANY FOOD SHOPPIN so i could add to my card
plus 200$ for hairmakeup...
plus all i did for her bach party
like i am angry...i mean i love my bro to death.. i wish i could have given a lot more than i did but its hard to when ur saving...and working to pay the bills!
so when they get cheated by people like that...it *****..and it hurts..
welcome to the world of sucky people we're surrounded by them trust me i understand the money thing i get paid twice a month but yet i still find a way to give when needed. it's called SAVING!! lol ya know what you should do, write these people a letter BUT DON'T SEND IT lol i find it helps to write crap like this to get it off your chest

wow im so sorry for your brother that really is horrible,
in february my sister got married, and let me tell u people were so cheap it wasnt even funny, and i was debating or not wether to invite them
I got sooooo mcuh SHIIT from the girls on LIW for that post saying how its not hte gift and that you want them there no matter what...
NO ONE AGREED WITH MY POINT OF VIEW just funny that everyone is with you on this
i do not think you should invite htem if you dont want them there

Re: honestly.
I don't know why people gets upset really. You choose where to have your wedding and who to invite. You don't do it hoping to get your money back. Maybe it's just me, but I'll be more than happy if anyone decides to give me an envelope, but i am not waiting on it.

Re: honestly.
i gave 50 at my friends wedding last year, but i spent over a grand on dress, airfare, hotel, and rental car to be there, so i hope there werent any hard feelings.... people give what they can give. Im tired of reading these 'money' posts, its not about the money at all, i wish nobody gave gifts at my wedding so nobody would have to feel favored or not or deal with politics...

Re: honestly.
I am aving my weding cause its what i want....but yes i am sure in the back of EVERYONES mind they are looking to make $$ on it!! Now unless you have a really ricjh Family you are NOT gonna make your $$ back at all!!! I was told long ago you shuld guesstimate the price per plate and give that ammount as the gift. but i guess most people dont htink of that. You also get people who dont like the fact that you have an E-party, Then a shower then the wedding.....It is alot for some people. Alot of people dont like that they are paying out so much $$. I work at BBB and hear people complain about it all the time. I have even had people say they arent giving as much at the wedding cause they are getting an expensive shower gift............. But really...if you are looking to make a good ammount of $$ on you wedding. Don't have it at a very expensive place cause you most likely wont make it back....JMO

Re: honestly.
My cousin and I were talking about this yesterday. One of her friends for her wedding got an envelope with...ready for this...5 singles in it. Yes, that's FIVE dollars!!! I couldn't believe it. I was so broke and gave one of my coworkers $150 for his wedding. I don't understand people. Another one of her friends got a picture frame. She said to expect many couples to give $50.

Re: honestly.
I'd put chewed gum in the TY card and write, 'That's what I bought with your gift, Thanks again!'
