I know its late but does anyone have an AWESOME scuba diving place for a honeymoon? FH went on cruises all the time so he's been scuba diving in all the typical cruise tourist attractions. I am thinking about becoming certified as my gift to him (it's wicked expensive) and want to surprise him with a fabolous scuba diving place.

Oh what a great gift, the 2 of you will have SOOO many memorable dives together!! How do you feel about THAILAND? The best dives depend on where you go and what season, October-April on the Andaman and from May -September in the Gulf of Thailand. I went in Koh Samui and Phuket but there are hundreds of pristine spots, usually a short boat ride from whatever resort island you stay on. I've never seen clearer water in my life. Thailand is just a phenomenal HM destination IMO!!

I looked up the the top ten best scuba diving in North America on the Travel Channel. Here's their list:

Belize is supposed to have excellent diving resorts.
