Honeyfund

I did one, it was a big hit for the shower.

Some ideas are:
1) Dinners at particular restuarants
2) Massages
3) Champaign and Strawberries upon arrival
4) Resort Room Upgrades
5) Specific excursions you want to do
6) Car rentals

Re: Honeyfund

I plan on doing one. I'll definitely have meals, tours, and other activities on it. I think it's such a great idea if you already have a lot of household items that won't need to be asked for on your registry.

Honeyfund

Yeah I made up amounts and split them up into different quantities, depending on the price. So for first class tickets I wouldve done something like 20 gifts at $100 each whatever the price is.

I did not use paypal, just check or cash. (I think paypal charges you or the sender a fee)

Honeyfund

I included the information on my invitation.

Also, I will say a lot of people were confused. They weren't sure how to worked. Some people called honeyfund and thought they paid the vendor directly. You may want to specify in your welcome note not to contact honeyfund / vendors and that gifts should be sent directly to you.

Honeyfund

http://www.honeyfund.com/Registry?id=112447&rid=970264

i did a honeyfund for my shower, it was a big hit and were totally set for our honeymoon. it was soo nice going away and not having to worry 'can we afford that' and people had fun with it too.

if you need any ideas feel free to copy any from mine :)

best idea for how to price things, keep some small but ask for a lot of those, and then have a few biggies. Family and close friends will want to go all out for you, but some 'older' guests that arent into the whole idea may want to still buy you a gift along with it, so having smaller options is good for them.

Yes, I made up the amounts and it was a big hit at my wedding. It covered about 1/4 of our honeymoon!

At the time, the only option was to do checks/cash. I believe paypal is a new option.

Honeyfund

I am doing mine through my travel agent. The good thing about it is that you can give money toward the honeymoon itself, which I would like instead of excursions. Since we are staying at an all inclusive with butler service, it comes with many of the options for gifting toward champagne toasts and things like that. We can use the money given toward what we want and not a preset list
