Honeymon help, Again!!

O.K, so some of you know that I sacrificed our honeymoon to buy a home. Now we realize we REALLY need a somewhat honeymoon. Can anyone recommend a nice 7 day getaway that is relaxing and INEXPENSIVE. Anywhere that won't be affected by the hurrican season. Wedding is 9/26/03. Around $2K-2500????? for both with air and hotel. Doesn't have to live up to honeymoon expectations but somewhere nice. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

VEGAS IS VERY CHEAP!

I would suggest a cruise. You can get a great deal! Sometimes as low as $600 pp, not including airefare. Remember, food is included. That always costs the most $$

FH and I went to Aruba last year (Jan) and it was less than $3000 for both of us. We stayed at the ALlegro (didn't do all inclusive). There are so many hotels there I'm sure you can find an inexpensive one, just don't stay in a waterview room. My TA said that Sept is an inexpensive month to go away, lots of deals

Thanks ladies. We've already been to Vegas and Aruba sounds a bit expensive. We've never taken a cruise but have no idea where to start as far as cruising goes. FI gets sea sick

What about Bahamas? Nassau may be expensive, but you can try Freeport. You should check out expedia.com, deltavacations.com and travelocity.com.
Also, Kaylasparents is a Travel Agent. Maybe you could FM her and she'll give u some recommendations.
Good Luck

Is this a good price for Aruba??

Renaissance Aruba Beach Resort & Casino Oranjestad, Aruba

Stroll along the only private beaches in Aruba or relax next to one of the many tropical pools at this destination resort located on the marina within

Total: $1,916.94
Avg/person: $958.47

includes airfare

club med - see if they still offer the 'wild card' if not the prices are still really good for some of the locations

Do you have points or anything on your credit card? You can use that to go away for free or atleast buy the airline tickets. Do a search for American Airlines. They have great getaways cheap.

Please don't worry about hurricanes, just take out the insurance. I know when we booked our Sandals resort, the insurance covered hurricanes.

Crusing is awesome, you get so much for your money. Also you get to see 3-5 islands at one time. The boats are so big you really don't feel the ship moving.

If not some other suggestions I can think of:
Mexico - Matzalan, Acalpoco (sp?) it's not located on the hurricane side
California - Baja, San Francisco, The Napa Valley

Happy Trails!

OK, Curly, here we go again
Why didn't you tell me you needed help?

Here's a link I found so far on Aruba, per my calculation this place will be total $2030 for 7 nights. Air fare, hotel, included....

diva aruba beach resort

Keep checking - I'll keep editing this post w/more ideas

here we go. I'm finding GREAT deals for Aruba.
THis next one includes a jeep if you stay at least 7 days.
It's $1750 for the total 7 nights, but does NOT include air fare. Hmmmm take a look (i'm not sure how much air is separately)

aruba renaissance

This one looks great. It's called Amsterdam Manor, looks pretty and inludeds:
Our Honeymoon Package Includes

* Accommodations in Deluxe Studio with Jacuzzi
* Taxes and service charges
* Romantic Candlelight Dinner
for '2' at 'Mango's Restaurant & Cocktail Bar'
* Bottle of Champagne in room
* One t-shirt per person
* Romantic Cruise
* Free use of beach lounges and towels
* Welcome drink

Total 7 nights is $1099 so even tho' it doesnt include air, you should still stay within budget.

Now there's a discount package called ONE COOL HONEYMOON, it's basically discounts, etc. . . for while you stay in Aruba to do different things. It looks like it will save money on activities and a lot of hotels participate, if you look on this link, it'll list all the hotels, and you could consider that while planning.
Here's a link to that so you could see the participants:
(by the way, the last 2 hotels I listed both participate in this)

one cool honeymoon hotel listings and details
