We originally wanted to go to Ireland for our HM but turns out that in February it will be 30 degrees and only light outside for 6-8 hours. We're gonna go there another time so now I am clueless! We are NOT the type of people who want to lie around at a Sandals beach resort....we want to explore and sightsee....Any ideas that arent the typical beach scene?

How about going to Italy? Or what about a Mediterranean cruise? You can relax in between ports and sightsee when you dock.

your best bet for February would be to go somewhere below the equator, that is if your looking for a warmer place.
Maybe some south american countries have some sightseeing things to do, you can look into that.
believe it or not but Mexico....near cancun/cozumel has pyramids to go visit, some forest type of places, etc. that might be fun too

I think anywhere in Europe would be awesome. prague is 'the new paris' haha. It supposed to have beautiful architecture and be very romantic! For warmer weather look into maybe Algarve in Portugal. Or Malaga island in Portugal. Maybe greece too! Also check into Rio de Jeniero.
