We want to go away for 2 weeks, but I just looked on the Sandals website for St. Lucia to get an idea and it will cost us close to 5k for 1 week. Can anyone suggest a place for our other week that is under 5k and warm.

we were away for 10 days.. (wanted to do 14 days but wasn't worth it to us)
we spent 3 days in san juan...then took a 10 days cruise around southern caribiean (sp)
we were way under 5k

Sister hotel to the El Dorado Royale is the El Dorado Seaside Suites - we are staying there for 8 nights, all inxlusive for 3K.

We went to Hawaii for 10+ days. We went to Oahu and Maui and we paid $4K not including food or activities but that included air(NY to Oahu and interisland), hotel, and a car on maui. Our Hotels were gorgeous and I thnk at the end of the day we spent less than $6K total! We didnt think Hawaii was going to be in our budget (with the wedding and buying ahouse, but we were pleasently surprised and LOVED Hawaii!)

We're getting some really great deals in Hawaii by not staying in hotels. You could probably get 2 weeks for under $5k at these places, but it wouldn't be all-inclusive. Let me know if you're interested...

I went to the Royal Hideaway last September and it was AMAZING!!!! My husband and I plan to go back there again next year. From the time you arrive you are served on hand and knees, the staff knows your name and the grounds and food are impeccable!!!! You won't regret going to Royal Hideaway, you are truthfully treated like royalty. Do a search on www.tripadvisior.com type in royal hideaway you will so tons of reviews and rated 5 stars!!!

Do you have to go so far away? Why don't you try soemthing close to home. There are b&B's you could go to. I guess try to be creative and not so conventional. I wanna go to cancun (I loved it there) or Disney. Cancun is pretty cheap and you do not need a lot of money to spend or go (although it is party central)

I just did a search on Expedia.com for a two week may hotel and airfare and i got tons of hits between 1,300- 3,000 dollars for Cancun
Ive been to cancun twice and i love it- its always hot and tropical- hardly any rain and easy to fly out of ny
check a few of those package websites and youll find something- book it yourself and youll save .
