honeymoon?

I need some help. I am getting married in October and I am worried about leaving for a honeymoon right after the wedding because of hurricane season. Do you think I should wait until December? Where is a good place to go?

We're going to Cabo San Lucas to avoid any potential hurricanes.

Depends on where you want to go. I would avoid most of the carribean - but there are some islands below the hurricane belt, but there is alway mexico, belize, hawaii, french polynesia, europe, etc...

you can go to the southern Caribbean, like Aruba. they hardly ever have a problem with hurricanes. or... you can go to Italy. October is the best month to go there from what I have heard. not too hot & not crowded at all.

We're taking the chance and are leaving for Turks and Caicos the day after the wedding.

we originally were going to go to disney. after the hurricanes last yr, fh didn't want to go during hurricane season. we're going to the poconos. we're getting so much. so it worked out.

We are getting married in October and going on our HM to ARUUUUUUBA!!!! in December.

Reason?? FH is teacher adn cant take off so we are going during x-mas break...

I would suggest Aruba also if you wanted to go after the wedding. It is out of the hurricane belt and hardly gets hit.

we ended up booking Hawaii for the same exact reason... Hawaii has a beautiful weather all year long

We're going to Hawaii. The hurricane thing really didn't come into play in our decision, it's just an added bonus.

Anyone worried about a hurricane hitting LI in October? For some reason I got paranoid about his after they put out the hurricane estimates for the season.
