they are having a 50% off sale right now on their vacation packages! Thats why we booked...we got 10 days in st lucia in a basic room for 3500 not including airfare..so its gonna cost is like 4500

We have done sandals 3 x and i dont know if i want to do it again. Its kinda of the same thing everytime. the only other one i would want to go to is jamaica, but i dont like not leaving the property, it gets boring. We didnt leave in St lucia and i didnt like that

Riviera Maya Mexico is beautiful, you should check that out.

Also, I have been to Dominican Republic and it is really nice too, it depends on where you stay

Actually, there are many parts of Dominican Republic that are absolutely beautiful. Some resorts in Punta Cana....my god, they have the most beautiful beaches Ive ever seen. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, beautiful culture, great food.......Whats NOT to like????

Forget Sandals or something like that..sounds too common for you guys. You should do a cruise somewhere or Hawaii....don't go to the Caribbean again. JMO.

haha thanks. yeah we love sandals in general but it woulnt be anything different then we have done. People we know have been to Sandals in Jamaica and are going back for their honey moon (12 days - which honestly is TOO long to stay at any sandals it gets played out!) and I wouldnt go back to st lucia.

I dont think we would like a cruise. I like to be in one spot and not feel rushed to get back on the boat.

We def wnat to do hawaii but FMIL says there really isnt way to make is a cheaper vacation she just sent someone there at moderate hotels and it was $8000 or something.

My mom's boyfriend's neice... god that sounds funny... just went on her HM to Hawaii for 14 days- spent $4k!! whoa! We were quoted over $8- with a 7 night cruise followed by 4 nights at the grand Hyatt in Kuai and 3 nights at the 4 seasons in Maui- she stayed at less exp resorts and got a great price!

We have been considering an all inclusive- I am just always nervous that it won't be great quality. Don't know what to do-- Our TA is having us look at Anguilla and St. Barts- but then there are no AI's-- they're all 6 star resorts! TOO MANY CHOICES!

look at islands that have all inclusives such as aruba, jamaica, bahamas, st. lucia then theres also mexico

I heard Maya Riviera is nice- in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.

there's a resort called the El Dorado Royale that I've heard nice things about- it's all inclusive. Anyone hear anything about it?

well definitely do alot of research first, there are some real nice AI hotels....ask girls here, especially on BHB or 07 boards so this way those who already went can tell you their opinion...also go to trip advisor and you can read tons of reviews on most places

Some of you are looking/planning your honeymoon or already have an idea sort of to where you want to go!
The usual beautiful places usually consist of...bora bora/tahiti, caribbean, europe, maldives and so forth.

I really thought i'd share my honeymoon experience because it was totally amazing, and UNIQUE. Not many people have been to those destinations on here.

Intitally i wanted to do bora bora or the maldives... but FH somehow convinced me not too..so we ended up doing
Hong Kong
Bali, Indonesia
Malaysia
Phuket Island, Thailand

I spent 5 days in each place, and had the msot fun in Bali, Hong Kong, and Phuket. Malaysia had the greatest food, but not many tourist sites etc.
Hong kong and Malaysia were more touristy places with sites to see, hustle and bustle of NYC. While Bali and Phuket were overly serene and relaxing.

I had the most AMAZING time in BALI. I cant even explain how beautiful the culture, ocean water, beaches and hospitable the people are. Bali is a small island of the coast of Indonesia. We stayed at the Jamahal Resort and Spa in Jimbaran Bay. Totally Private, GORGEOUS villas. 5 star treatment....

In Phuket Island we stayed at Marina Phuket Resort Marina Phukets Website They have individual villa's. The jungle room and oceanview are the best. The resort is situated right on the beach, and again we had the time of our lives. This is also the location were the tsunami came, everything has been rebuilt since. You cant even really tell there was any devastation.

- Anyways, if anyone has any questions feel free to FM me. Im not writing about Hong Kong or Malaysia because those are not the #1 HM spots anyone thinks of. But Hong Kong was fun to shop in, they Built a Disney land there which was cute...

Good Luck honeymoon planning!! and definately do check out BALI as a destination.

is your date hurricane season? watch out for the caribbean around that time. Maybe she can pretend it's a regular trip and hook you guys up with Europe!
