Honeymoon ?????

Do you think it is worth the extra money to get a suite on a cruise for your honeymoon? We are considering it, it is about $1400 more.

Please help I need input on what everyone thinks about this! Thanks

Do it! At the hotel we are staying in, we booked the super delux suite and figured it was totally worth the extra $1600. It is our honeymoon...we are only going to have it once....we also figured that since we are going away for two weeks, we may want to just hang out in the room with a bottle of wine one night and watch a movie and wanted a nice living room space where we could do so.

Yes..Yes...Yes.. You only go on a HM once and it it a once in a lifetime trip, so I would say treat yourselves and enjoy!!!

Yes treat yourselves, especially on a cruise!!! We are treating ourselves for most of our honeymoon but we are going to 2 islands in Hawaii so one island we have the deluxe oceanfront and the other we just have oceanview, so at least we were able to cut our costs that way and still have the luxury. But since you're gonna be on a boat, go all the way!!!!!!!

i think its worth it! its your honeymoon!! and plus the regular rooms on cruise ships can be very small, so i would doo it and enjoy it! you only have one honeymoon!

I definitely say yes! I know it seems like a lot more but I think you'd regret it if you didn't do it.

The rooms are not too bad size wise, but think about how much time you will actually spend in there.
We upgraded to a balcony on our cruise to Alaska, but nixed the suite because of the extra cost. We used the extra money for excursions.
We actually used the balcony, for a couple of breakfasts and some private cocktail hours.
Also since DH smokes, that was his smoking room.

definitely treat yourselves. the HM is the ended of the whole wedding thing, so as my FH likes to say, 'if you're going to do it, why not do it right?'

i think it's great to have it all but if it will be a big stretch, i'd rather be practical - but that's just me -- there are a TON of common areas where you can enjoy the same luxury (views etc) - you may not have the 'privacy' for what couples on a honeymoon do but the last time FH and I went on a cruise (we had an oceanview but next time we'll get one in the middle w no view - significantly cheaper), we spent the night under the moon at the top level of the ship and we had the area all to ourselves -- everyone else was on the buffet section

i just think that when you're on a cruise you won't really want to spend most of the time in your room - there are so many activities, shows, FOOD! etc. and when u gotta do it real bad, then you just go back to your room

goodluck! it will all work out

I agree!!! My FH & I got a room with a balcony.

We just got back from our HM.
We had a suite, but it was wasted because all we did was sleep in our room.
