I am going on a cruise on my honeymoon it is a week after we get married. What name should I have put on the passenger name? I put my maiden name not my soon to be last name because I don't think all the paper work is going to be ready by then. Anyone about this?

We are going on our HM a week later too. I put my maiden name. You can change all your documents when you get back from the HM. So as long as your license and passport are the same, you should be fine. There is no time in that week to get all the documents so I wouldnt risk putting your new name

Good idea, but I thought all of the nae changing things could be done a week before, because I think the marriage license gets done a week before so you can start the process. I don't know I think I'm going to just put my maiden name it'll be less hassle! Good idea

oh no! I just realized- if you order a passport for your honeymoon, that means you have to get a whole new one after it when your name changes??

Re: Honeymoon
i wouldn't suggest putting the paper in until you get back from the honeymoon just so you don't have any issues.

I would be nervous of things not getting done on time, which is why I'll change everything when i get back. If you want to travel under your new name I would talk to a travel agent and ask how long it could take.
As far as a passport name change, this is from the passport website. I dont think you have to pay all the fees again
