Re: Honeymoon!
VERY NICE, youre going to LOOOOVE barcelona, we went there for our HM and had the best time. I loved the city, its so beautiful. The food is AMAZING too and people are so nice. The best part is that even with the euro, barcelona is still VERY affordable, i thought it was a bit cheaper than NYC actually.
Theres TONS of outside cafes to eat at, we always wanted to do that bc it was so nice to sit outside in such a beautiful place, and be able to people watch. We would go to dinner, get a bunch of tapas, drinks and it would always come out to about $30-40 euro, even when DH would get lots of drinks, then coffee after, bottles of water. And you HAVE to go to Farggi tub and ice cream. The ice cream there is so amazing, and their coffees too, they also have crepes and a bunch of other stuff, its on passe de gracia which has lots of shops, outdoor cafes and things to do.

Thanks for the heads up. I am very excited and DYING to do the outdoor cafe thing. I also heard from others that Barcelona is quite affordable.

yeah we would walk around in the daytime and look for places to eat for dinner. We would see indoor places but we just personally prefer to eat outside, it was alot better. Thats all we did seriously, for lunch and dinner we did outdoor cafes. This one avenue is just one outdoor cafe after another. Its weird bc theres a huge sidewalk or more like middle walk lol bc its in the middle and you have 2 streets to the side which are just one lane for cars to drive on and then a curb, the cafes the inside part would be on the curb so when your waiter would bring you things they would have to walk outside the indoor part, cross the street and go to the middle part where the tables were. Also in this area in between some of the cafes theres a ton of huge sculptures. The weather was so beautiful when we went so we didnt want to eat inside. Although we ate inside a few times at the lounge in our hotel but after we'd go for coffee at an outdoor place. The tapas are so affordable, you have to get their potato croquettes they are so delicious, they have it either with crabmeat, ham, sausage and its about $1.50 euro for 4 big pieces. The grilled octopus is amazing too, shrimp in garlic and oil, these are things you find everywhere. And seriously we went to so many cafes and every single place we randomly picked the food was AMAZING, not once did we go somewhere and not LOVE the food. Also for lunch we ate inside once at an all crepe restaurant MMMM, its right next to OMM hotel, which is where we stayed.
AHHH brings back memories, i told dh we have to go back one day. Dh didnt even want to leave he wanted to move to barcelona.
If you need any info about barcelona, feel free to ask.

Sounds awesome!!!!! So this spot really is a busy part- that's good to know. My travel agent assured us that this was a great spot. My Family is from Northern Spain. That part is very different from Barcelona so I am very excited to see what it's all about. I guess I have no questions for now but I am sure some will pop up as the honeymoon gets closer. Thanks for all the info!
