Re: Honeymoon...
If I were you, I would do Disney first and then def go to a sandals resort. Disney is fun, but hectic, crowded etc. I think a few days of total relaxation and enjoying one another would be a nice way to end the vacation

Re: Honeymoon...
Disney can totally be romantic, and it won't be as crowded considering when you will be going.
Then again I'm a Disney freak so I find it to be incredibly romantic...they have a whole honeymoon section on their website. You should check it out!!

ITA... also...if your FH is into rollercoasters, Universal Studios Islands of Adventure has a better variety. The Portofino Resort is really nice and on location too... you wouldn't need rental cars and the nightlife is right there. It is fun and can be romantic.

Re: Honeymoon...
imo i can't see myself going to disney for a honeymoon. After stressing and all the wedding planning i would want to relax somewhere. Although i love it, i need a vacation after Disney lol.
splitting it sounds good. Maybe take a cruise that leaves from FL.

Re: Honeymoon...
depends on what you want to do on your honeymoon.. disney world is non stop going to parks and moving around...
if you want to have a few days of total relaxation then i'd say go to sandals too.. you can relax at disney but i'd feel like i would be missing out on something not being in the parks!

Re: Honeymoon...
well, FH and I ARE splitting our honeymoon between Disney and Sandals resort!!
I have never been to Disney w/a boyfriend (or fiancee lol) before and any time i was at the Magic Kingdom fireworks show in front of Cinderella's castle, i always imagined being there with the man of my dreams!! (sounds so cheesy i know) and so i knew when i found him, i would have to go to disney with him...and FH knows this, so he agreed for us to go there as long as it was followed up by relaxation on a tropical island!!
so we're doing 4 days in Disney (arriving n relaxing first night (sunday) so we dont have to leave super early in the am after our wedding, parks on monday, tues, wednesday, then thursday leavin in the afternoon to Sandals St. Lucia where we will stay for 7 nights!
its gonna be a dream!!!

Re: Honeymoon...
I think splitting it is nice, but there are many many things you can do at Disney that are romantic. You can get couples massages and have romantic dinners and even take a yacht out on the bay to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom! I would look into to all the HM stuff you'll be able to do there. HTH

We're actually going to Disney for a few days, then somewhere else to relax. We just haven't decided the 2nd half yet.
