Honeymoon

How did you book your honeymoon? Did you go through a travel agent or did you do it online? I usually book my vacations online but I'm thinking of maybe going through a travel agent because they may know more about honeymoon spots. What are your thoughts? TIA

i'm curious about this too! i've been looking up different things online and i wonder if it might be better to go through a travel agent or just book on our own

i always book online, but i went with a travel agent , she offered a lot of perks and one stop contact info which i loved

MaryEllen I went thru a travel agent if you want to call me or have todd call chris we can give you the information on who we used. They were wonderful.

we went thru sandals over the phone after picking out everything online. FH works for the airlines and gets a discount thru them so we can't go thru a travel agent

Our RH booked our hotel stay in Greece since that's what they do and we got our airline tickets through a travel agent. We are going to Italy to visit my grandparents as well and FH didn't want to be stranded and made me go through a travel agent But it actually worked out for the best because the travel agent was able to find us a ticket package that was $1,500 less that what we were finding out our own

We started to book it with a travel agent but it was getting too expensive. We saw a deal on line with travel zoo for the same places the travel agent was sending us for cheaper so we booked on line

FMIL found an awesome travel agent who works online and specializes in european vacations and honeymoons. FM me if you want her info, she's great.

we knew exactly where we wanted to go and stay, we went to a few travel agents but the hotel was having a sale if you booked directly through them so thats what we did and it saved us over $1,000.

Had i not known where I wanted to go, or if I was going to be traveling to certain places, I would have definitely went through a travel agent.

Thank you everyone! I will definitely FM some of you for your agent info. I think I might go to an agent and just see what they offer. When I get home, I can check to see if I could find it cheaper.

i used an agent for the first time.
pricing wasn't terrible and she actually found us a deal with every 3rd night free for you 10 day stay in hawaii at the hyatt.

As long as the travel agent doesn't charge a fee for their services I would say used a TA. Usually we just book online too, but since it was the HM we wanted the peace of mind that if anything came up she could handle it and we didn't have to be bothered.

We went through a travel agent. ***** able to get us some extra perks!!! We were also able to register for our honeymoon through him!!

We went through a travel agent...she got us some deals that we might not have found online. But, my MIL's travel agent got us an even better deal so we went to ours and made her match it Whatever deal you find, through an agent or online, make sure you check around before booking to make sure you are getting the best deal possible!

We are going to Couples Swept Away in Jamaica and when we book, we will be booking through their website (you can do both flight/hotel in one shot or just the hotel). We've been there before and booked through the website and had not issues at all.

I used to book online until one trip to the bahamas I booked with a travel agent and it was the best thing I ever did! The day before our trip my friend got sick and we had to postpone the trip by two days. My travel agent took care of EVERYTHING - from rebooking our flight to booking the hotel rooms.

The travel agents also know if there is construction going on in the hotels or nearby hotels - they don't tell you that online!
