How soon are you girls leaving for your honeymon after your wedding?
We are going to St. Lucia but there is a problem: you can only get direct flights to St. Lucia 3 days a week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Our wedding is Friday...would leaving the Sunday after be to crazy? What needs to get done (besides packing) after the wedding. The bank we could probably get to Saturday....Is ther anything else?
my FH and i have never traveled together anywhere big like this...so we're clueless!
We cant postpone it to the next week b/c my friend is getting married that week.
Do we delay 2 weeks, or just leave sunday?

We are in a similiar situation with limitied flights. We are getting married on a Friday and we are leaving the following night on a 9 pm flight. We are going to Fiji and there's only 3-5 flights to Fiji per week...& we have to leave out of LA. So since our flight to Fiji is late on Sunday night out of LA, we are flying into LA on Saturday night (night after our wedding) so we are not travelling for 23094893284 hours straight.
I just plan on being all ready to go before the wedding. Then we will wake up at the hotel, have brunch with our guests, stop by our house for a lil bit, then head off to the airport around 6 pm. Hopefully, we will be so tired, we will sleep the whole plane ride!! That's the plan

Our wedding is Sat night, and we are leaving Sunday mid day. This is definitely tricky because we are hosting a brunch. But since it takes 2 days to get to Australia, we wanted to leave as soon as possible.

hey date twin! us too!!!
we decided that we didnt wanna be rushing to get things squared away the night of our wedding and the morning after to catch an early flight. we'd much rather enjoy our night, sleep in the next morning, and relax from the night before (and maybe go to the bank!!! )

same exact sitch here! i plan to pack before the wedding - people recommend packing 2 weeks before so you don't forget anything.

wedding sat night... we were originally booked to leave monday morning, but delta changed all the flight schedules, now we are leaving wednesday.

We are getting married on a Saturday evening & leaving Monday evening for our flight. I think it gives you time to
a. relax a bit/spend time with any out of town guests & b.deposit checks for honeymoon $$ (kidding-sort of-ok not really)
Those are my reasons at least.

we are getting married on a Thursday night so we will probably we leaving on Saturday. We still have to finalize our plans
