FH and I are trying to figure out where we want to go for our honeymoon...We came up with a Cruise for 5 days and then coming back and staying in NYC for another 5 days! Sounds like 2 trips to me!!! But my question is would a cruise line leave out of NYC??
Has anyone done this before?? I could use some advice!!!

i have never done it - but i can tell you that yes, some cruise lines leave out of NY!

There are cruises that leave out of NYC, I know Royal Caribbean does. They primarily go to Bermuda or Bahamas. Not sure for 5 days though. I would do a longer cruise if thats a concern for you

sorry i have no idea! I would rather do a longer cruise than 5 days in nyc. Do you live here in Long Island? You can always do day trips. JMO

There are cruises that depart from NYC & NJ - You can check out the cruise line websites or make it easier on yourself and call a travel agent.

I took a cruise out of NYC to Bermuda and it was AMAZING. I would definitely recommend it.

Yes, there are a whole bunch of cruises that leave from NYC, from Brooklyn, the reopened the new pier there years ago and a whole bunch embark here, i'll update shortly...
Yes Norwegian leaves out of NYC. I know there is one that goes to Florida, Bahamas and a private island and there is another one that goes to Bermuda and some other islands. Check out Norwegian's website.

I actually took the Norweigan Gem from NYC this February. It's the one that goes to Florida and 3 islands in the Bahamas. The Gem is a new ship and it has everything, I would definitely look into it.

Check out expedia or another travel site and search for cruises out of NYC. Tons of cruiselines leave from NYC!

I will...FH and I don't want to leave till 9/14..since both of us have family up!!! We think that would be perfect but if there is nothing available it will have to be the 13th!!! Gonna do some research later tonight!!

Most cruises leave either Saturday or Sunday. Keep in mind that as I am sure the weather will be nice in September since you are leaving out of NY there will be a few days travel in not very warm weather till you get down to bermuda or the Bahama's....
