we are about to book our honeymoon. only problem is there is only 1 flight a day from NY to aruba. so we have to leave the next morning and the flight is at 9:00 AM
so i guess we have to leave the hotel around 6:00 AM. my FH doesn't seem to care about not geting enough sleep. i just hate flying & won't be able to sleep on the plane.
oh well.. its not a major factor in booking it. Just waiting for FH to get approval from work.

Re: honeymoon - anybody leaving the next morning
If you have an evening wedding you are going to have no time to get yourselves together and get to the airport for a flight the next morning. Give yourselves a day to rest in between so you can really enjoy every day of your honeymoon and not feel rushed getting there.
We have a Saturday evening reception and we are flying out for our honeymoon on Monday at 7pm and hopefully sleeping alot on our long *** flight to Austrailia!

While undeniably you'll be more rushed that morning, it's not impossible. It may not make for a relaxing wedding night, either. Pack for your HM as much as you can before the day of the wedding. Coordinate with folks beforehand to take stuff away from your hotel room (if using) and reception site. If you're having an evening wedding and an afterparty, take that into account.

Re: honeymoon - anybody leaving the next morning
We are getting married on a Friday night and our flight is Sat night at 6pm! It gives us plenty of time, plus my parents are having a brunch the next morning and FH and I want to go! We also need time to open all of our envelopes lol and go to the bank!!!

Re: honeymoon - anybody leaving the next morning
As someone that just got married 4 weeks ago, I would HIGHLY recommend that you wait at least one day to go on your honeymoon if you can.
We got married Friday evening and left EARLY Sunday morning. I wish we would have left on Monday or Tuesday instead! We were exhausted when we finally got up the day after the wedding and we had a lot of little things to do. It would have been nice to have one extra day to decompress before heading out on the honeymoon, but I'm really happy we had at least that one day.
So, if you can, try to take at least one day in between the wedding and leaving for the honeymoon.
