Re: Honeymoon Babies
As much as I would want a baby now. I still want to wait at least two years before getting pregnant. We need to live together as a married couple before I bring a child into this world....thats just my thought...
Re: Honeymoon Babies
its a very personal decision is my thought, but in general i would think you'd want some time to adjust to be married. i'll be 30 when i get married and FH and i will wait for at least two years. we have a savings goal to meet before kids, FH will make a transition out of the Navy, i'd like to finish my masters, and we know theres NO going back so we're being selfish about some more time just for us before making the big commitment to kids. just some thoughts we had.
Re: Honeymoon Babies
I want a honeymoon baby But my fh wants to wait till we are set with a house and then have a baby. But lets see what happens.
Re: Honeymoon Babies
I think it's a very personal decision. When FH and I get married we'll be together for 3 years. We probably won't be trying to get pregnant on our honeymoon but probably within 6 months after our wedding. Age isn't a factor for us, but we feel that we've spent enough alone time together and want to start a family. Hopefully, we'll squeeze in a trip to Europe before we have another little person to worry about! For us, starting our family is one of our top priorities.
Re: Honeymoon Babies
FH and I discussed this too...we can't afford to buy a house and we will be living in an apartment and I'd rather raise a baby in a home so we're planning on the two year range...although I'd like one right now! lol...ok I'll wait till after the wedding
Re: Honeymoon Babies
even though the clock is ticking a little bit (i will be 30 this summer), our careers won't allow us to have a baby for at least 2 years. even if we could, though, i would want to wait a while to get adjusted to being married. in my opinion, too much change (even good things!) at one time can be overwhelming... but having said that, it's a very personal decision and if you're both ready i say go for it!
Re: Honeymoon Babies
It IS a very personal decision, one that only you two should make together. I am really looking forward to having a child and will be 30 when I get married. We've agreed to wait a year (I would like 2 and to be done by 35) but it really depends on so many different factors. My FH lived together for 3 years when we get married and don't anticipate a big 'change' when we actually get married. But we love to travel so much that we would really like to be able to have that time to do so before a little one comes along adn changes our entire lives

Re: Honeymoon Babies
How many times have I had this discussion. I will try my hardest to get pregnant as soon as possible. FH wants to even start trying a month before we get married. I will be 31 and he will be 29. Financially we will be set and we will be together for 4 1/2 years by the time we get married and we basically live together now so I'm not worried about that kind of stuff. My clock is ticking away. My sister also has problems with having a baby so I am afraid I may run into problems, so I want to try asap!! I too want to have 2 and be done by 35.
Re: Honeymoon Babies
We have joked about it, but are waiting at least 3 years. I'm only 25, God willing we can get pregnant when I'm around 28.

Re: Honeymoon Babies
We are waiting at least two years after marriage. We need to get our financials back in order and I'm not ready to shafe FH with anyone just yet. Call me selfish but I enjoy it just being us.
Re: Honeymoon Babies
We're waiting a year or maybe a little less.

Re: Honeymoon Babies
It is a personal descision however FH and I are planning on getting pregnant that night! We have been together for over 10 years and own a home together that is why we are comfortable to make that descicion. I know everyone thinks they must have all these other things first before having a child but I think that whether or not we had a home we are ready to have children. I can sacrifice the material things and if it is really what you want I say go for it!!
