Honeymoon Booked!!

Original post by BlondeJD

I just booked our honeymoon!! I'm so excited to have this done and even more excited about where we're going. We're spending 10 nights/11 days at Cap Juluca in Anguilla (British West Indies--also where Today filmed their Destination Wedding). We can take a ferry or private boat over to St. Martin/St. Maarten for shopping, gambling, etc. FH even agreed to spend a little extra for a junior suite--oceanview terrace (all the rooms have that though) plus a double-tub with solarium (woohoo nude sunbathing ). The rates are rather reasonable for the summer in case anyone is still looking for a honeymoon destination.

I'm really so excited!!! We originally wanted Tahiti but I have a little fear of flying (I've only flown 8 times total, including round trip!! ) so a LENGTHY flight didn't sound too good. I'm sad to miss out on the overwater bungalows, but Anguilla is only 4 hours away, so it's all good

it looks so very beautiful! We'er still looking...maybe we'll go there too. Is there much to do other than beach? I'd like to maybe swim with dolphins, horseback ride on beach....

Jennie-

My girlfriend just went there on her honeymoon in June- and she loved it! She said it was the most beautiful place she's ever been- and this is a girl who's done her fair share of traveling! You'll have a romantic, wonderful time!

Congratulations!!!!

I didn't get the impression that there was all that much to do at Cap Juluca besides some water sports and snorkeling but FH is in charge of the activities portion of the trip so I'll let you know what he finds. Our travel agent said that there is gambling/casinos on the Dutch side of St. Martin (I guess that's St. Maarten) as well as lots of duty free shopping.
