Honeymoon Comparison!
So far I've heard really good things about Aruba, Bermuda, Cancun and Hawaii. I've heard some bad things about Jamaica and the Bahamas. Bad things being that it's very unsafe and dirty if you leave the resort area. Which I don't think you'd want to be trapped in the one area. I think it could get boring. This is just what I've heard? So far Hawaii is the most expensive. Bermuda sounds really nice, but I'm not sure if it's quiet and if there's anything to do? Aruba so far sounds the best. We're looking for something romantic of course, but we don't want to spend the whole time lying on the beach. We want to have the option to do things, but at the same time be able to relax and have fun. Maybe an island isn't for us, but we would still like to do the tropical theme. I want to go where there is bright turquoise waters, palm trees, and things to do. If any of you ladies have been to these so I can get some comparison ideas could you let me know? Thanks!

Islands (long)
I`ve never been to Bermuda, but since it`s parallel to North Carolina, unless you go there in the summer, it`s not that warm there. But, I have heard it`s beautiful. I`ve heard Aruba is very dry and windy, but it`s out of the hurricane zone, so if you plan to go between June - Nov., it might be worth it. I`ve heard the same things about Jamaica and Bahamas, and I too want to be able to travel outside the resort area and go sight-seeing. I`m planning to go to Hawaii. Partly b/c I`m getting married in Oct, and even though it`s expensive, who knows when we`ll get the chance to visit there again! Good luck

Disney Honeymoon
Is anyone planning a Disney Honeymoon....or know of other people who have? I was wondering if we were crazy to attempt this! My fiance is from France and he's seen all of Europe....I've seen most of the USA...but neither of us have been to Disney World. We are going for 14 days so we thought there would be something to do each day.

Bermuda and Aruba
From the list you wrote, I have been to Bermuda and Aruba, so I can give you some information about both. Bermuda - I went in August of last year, and the weather was absolutely perfect. It is considered a safer choice than the Caribbean that time of the year because of fewer hurricances. Bermuda is gorgeous, beautiful beaches, great resorts -- but not as much night life as Aruba. There are no casinos on the island if thats your thing. I took a cruise that left out of Boston, there are also cruises leaving out of New York City - this is great for the budget since you don't have to pay for airfare (Of course the cruise there is only an option late spring to early fall)! Since we stayed on the boat there was always enough activity for us. We drove past a hotel in Bermuda that totally impressed us - we said if we ever came back to the island we'd have to look into it. It had the greatest beaches. Heres a link: http://www.vrsrv.com/bin/tk4/tkt=sonesta01_bmdt1 Aruba - Again gorgeous beaches, and lots of water sports etc. Great restaurants, and many many casinos so there is probably more to do at night. In Bermuda you can not rent a car, but you can in Aruba. Its a great island to explore. As a generalization I would say in Aruba there are more high-rise hotels on long strips of beach, while Bermuda has more independent hotels with smaller beaches - of course you could find both on either island, but thats just my main impression!

Disney Honeymoon
I have been to Disneyworld every January for the last 5 years and there is plenty to do both in and out of Disney. Since you are going for so long you might want to consider taking the Disney cruise also. Some other fun things..a visit to Cape Canaveral, a visit to RonJon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, SeaWorld, Universal Studios and so much more. You never run out of things to do.

Bermuda weather
Be sure to check the average temperature reports before you reject Bermuda, depending on the time of year you'll be there. We're going to Myrtle Beach SC the first week of May, when the average air temp is in the low 80's and the water temp is in the low 70's - so 'summer' for Bermuda may cover quite a few months.

I did the Disney Cruise
I did the Disney Cruise for our honeymoon in December and it was fun. We've been to Disney World so I really wanted to do something fun for our honeymoon. Disney ='s kids, but on the Cruise they have everything seperate for adults....even the beach. The only thing they don't seperate is the rooms, so you can hear them running up and down the corridors, etc. And exactly at 9 or 9:30am the captain comes on to the loud speaker (which is right above your bed!!!!) and tells you that you docked, etc. I'm sorry, but I like my sleep! Plus I don't have sea legs either, so that kind of threw off the vacation! The Disney cruise does offer a 7 day sea package. That package sails to more islands than my package that was 4 days land and 3 days sea. I booked right through the Disney Cruise line. It gave us the transfer between air and hotel, then hotel and cruise, and then cruise to air. Even if you spent 7 days in Disney World with the hopper pass you can visit the parks more than once a day. ( days would be sufficient if you plan it out. Happy planning! just ask if you have questions.Welcome New Vendors
