honeymoon dilemma...

Sorry if this is long, but I'm debating on what to do.

Our wedding is July 9th, and there is a work conference that I should be going to July 23-28th. Normally that would really mess any honeymoon plans up, but the conference is in Kyoto, JAPAN!

Would it be weird if I mixed business with pleasure and stayed in Japan an extra week or so either before or after the conference for a HM? In that case my plane tickets would be paid for by my work and I would have to pay for FH plane ticket, hotel and activities and food for the extra time.

Or should I pick somewhere else more romantic to go and not mix my HM with my work?

What would you fabulous ladies do?

And btw, I have never really traveled, only to canada, mexico and DR, so pretty much anywhere I go either way would be new and fun!

For a honeymoon, I wouldn't mix business with pleasure. That's just my opinion, but it's completely up to you.

How does your FH feel about it?

Definitely have a chat with your FH. Who knows maybe he wants to go there as well. My only hesitancy would be that your mind is in work mode where you want to be in lovey dovey honeymoon mode, ya know? It depends on how you feel :) Any idea where you both want to go because if its not Japan, maybe you can do your conference there and go someone else in that part of the world
