We are planning on Florida for our honeymoon in March 2010. I checked online and the prices seem ridiculously high for Florida---should I wait a little and see if the flights go down??
I saw Southwest isn't even booking yet for my dates, so maybe its too early?
WHat do you girls think?

Re: Honeymoon Flights
March is always expensive for Florida flights for some reason. I'd keep checking Southwest. I think they usually start booking 4 months out, but lately Jet Blue has always been a little cheaper for me.
I would keep checking.. How expensive are the flights?

ITA - JET BLUE! They are having a lot of different promotions atm...I would call up & speak w/an agent who can probably advise you for the best rate...dont forget to mention that it's your honeymoon so they will go more of the distance for you to get exactly what you want.

Re: Honeymoon Flights
The direct non-stop flights were ridiculous--like 800 a person roundtrip (Delta)....I think I will wait until Southwest posts their fares.

In my experience I have found that Delta is over-priced and their customer service is terrible. I've only flown with them a few times but EVERY time I have there have been delays, and they are terrible with how they handle the situation.
I agree with the other posters, Jet Blue always has very competitive pricing and it's always problem free when I fly with them.

WHAT????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????
I paid $140 per person for a direct flight from LGA to Miami for this October. I'm flying AA but Delta was the same price. I only picked AA because Delta's flights were from JFK and I'm closer to LGA.
Are you looking at Easter week? If so that's why. And it will affect all airlines (not just Delta). Would you consider postponing the honeymoon for a few weeks? I know it's not ideal but neither is paying $800 to fly to Florida!
Oh, and by any chance do you happen to have 'first class' checked off when you look for flights?
Maybe that's why..

Re: Honeymoon Flights
is it a holiday? for instance presidents week you will spend about 800 pp to go to florida. if its a holiday then that is probably the lowest it will go. double check the calander. if its not a holiday then i would defineitely wait for lower rates
