Honeymoon - Hawaii Question

Honeymoon - Hawaii Question

Hi Ladies

I've been searching the boards and I am trying to find some insight about hotels in Hawaii. Has anyone done the Hyatt Hopper promotion where the rental car and breakfast are free. If so, do you recommend it?

Also, we want to go to Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. What hotels would you recommend.

TIA

Re: Honeymoon - Hawaii Question

We just booked our HM and we are doing 5 nights in Kaui and 5 nights in Maui. We are doing the Hyatt hopper with free breakfast but I didn't know about a free rental car? We rented a compact car but upgraded to a jeep.

I think it is worth it for the breakfast included. I heard it is very expensive for food! And Hyatt is suppose to be one of the best hotels.

We are doing 3 nights in Kauai at the marriot, 5 nights in Oahu at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach and 6 nights in Maui at the Hyatt. My sister stayed at the Outrigger nd the Hyatt and loved both of them. The travel agent helped us a lot too and recommended her favorites.

We are also going to Oahu, Maui and Kuai and are also most prob going to do the hopper, at least for Maui and Kuai.
We are most likely going to stay at the Marriott in Oahu, the price wasnt much different and the travel agent said it was really nice (we had friends who stayed at the Hyatt and they said it was ok).
The Grand Hyatt in Kuai from what I have been told, is one of the nicest hotels on the Island (besides the Princeville which is more expensive and on the rainy side of the Island, it rains 20 minutes a day). A lot of my friends have stayed here and they said it was beautiful. So, even on the off chance that we dont do the hopper we would still stay there since we have heard such great things about the hotel, even from people that didnt stay there but just spent the day.

I only know of one other person who stayed at the Hyatt in Maui. Most of my friends stayed at the Fairmont which they absolutely loved, its all suites. That is the other hotel we are considering for Maui, since Ive heard raves about it. I also had one friend stay at the 4 seasons, and she loved it. The Ritz Carlton is actually less expensive than the Hyatt but it is a little out of the way and more removed from everything else, but if that s what youre looking for that might be a good option.
