honeymoon help

Hi Girls,

We are up to honeymoon planning and have decided to go to the Caribbean. Some places that we are interested in are Aruba, St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Martin.

Was wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on these places and other islands you may have stayed at and liked. We are probably going to go for an all-inclusive so would love to hear suggestions on resorts as well. TIA

Re: honeymoon help

it all depends on how much you want to spend... if you are looking for an affordable vacation you might want to look into Dominican Republic... we went there twice and would def. go there again, we love it there... they have beautiful all-inclusive hotels...

I stopped by St. Thomas and St. Martin on a cruise - both were really beautiful. St. Thomas seemed to have a lot to do - beautiful beaches. I wish I had had more than a day to explore!

Good luck with your choice :)

We are going to St John. It is the quietest of the three USVI-alot of untouched nature.

There is not an all-inclusive on St. John. There are two main hotels. The Westin (nice, but some people complain there are too many kids) and Caneel Bay (uber-luxury, upwards of 500 per night, but just gorgeous and private-you basically have your own beach right outside your door with certain room types)

Then there are lots of private villas to rent all over the island. some Bed and Breakfasts, and cottages as well.

We are staying at Caneel Bay for the first 4 days and doing the whole pampering thing, then moving into a condo/villa for a week and renting a jeep to go exploring and live in our own little place away from EVERYONE!

St John is definitly not a place for all-inclusive seekers, but if you are looking for a quiet, secluded, romantic getaway then do some research into it.

If you want a great, cheap all-inclusive thry the Dominican.

Aruba has alot of all-inclusives, and is just gorgeous. Do a google search for 'all-inclusive Aruba' and you will get everything you need to know!

thanks for the feedback. We are figuring on spending between $3,500 and $4,000 for the honeymoon.
