If you had to choose between honeymooning in South Africa or Australia, which would you choose.
South Africa would be 4 nights in a game lodge, 4 nights in capetown, 2 nights in wine region, and 5 nights in Hermanus (beachy area)
The Australia trip would be a ton of jumping around...Sydney, Ayers Rock, Alice Springs, wine region, brisbane, great barrier reef. I've always wanted to go there, but I'm getting a headache looking at the itinerary.
I vote for South Africa...FH wants Australia. Oh...and South Africa is $1500 cheaper and includes most of our meals. Australia only includes a few meals...very few.

Australia in a heart beat. That was our dream HM until we saw prices. I really don't have much of a desire to see South Africa.

Re: Honeymoon Help
Definitely South Africa!!! Its amazing and just breathtaking.
In general my one piece of advice would be not to move around too much. DH and I went to three hawaiian islands, I wish we did two, it was just a pain living out of a suitcase for two weeks and the constant repack/flight, repack/flight, etc. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with this, but it was the HM and we really wanted to relax.

That is one of my concerns with Australia. To see everything I want to see, it would be like 7 or 8 hotels b/c of flights etc. Like you, I typically wouldnt mind it, but I want to enjoy the time. South Africa is 4 hotels-- which is already plenty!

I would personally go to Australia but it's totally up to what you really want to do. Hope you decide the best option for you.

We did a total of 5 flights and it was just overload. I felt once I settled in one hotel, I had to pack up the next day. I didn't think it would be alot when I booked the trip but it really was. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed it but definitely too much time in the airport!

Re: Honeymoon Help
We just booked our Australia trip - going for 17 days to 5 different locations. So, clearly Australia is my vote!
