HONEYMOON HELP!!!!

FH and I are trying to figure out where to go for our honeymoon in May 2011. We went to a travel agent last night and they recommended Sandals. Now we're indecisive between Sandals Negril in Jamaica or Sandals Regency/Grande in St. Lucia... Which one do you recommend????

I booked my cruise because it goes to St. Lucia. Everyone I know who has gone there said it was beautiful. But i dont think either choice is bad

ST Lucia... i have herd that Jamaica is a little dangerous. i was looking between the regency and the grand st lucian too but the regency is much cheaper and there are more restaurants so i think if we decide to go to sandals we are going to go there.

Thanks for your input ladies....

If we decide St. Lucia, we want to do both resorts 5 nights at the Regency and 4 nights at the Grande. Looking at the pictures St. Lucia does look gorgeous!

I hear mixed reviews about Sandals too so I'm so confused...

i would definitely go with st. lucia since jamaica's had some issues lately with security

plus, i think the st. lucia sandals are GORGEOUS! i may wind up booking there too when i get around to the honeymoon

We are booked at the Regency since they had an awesome deal when we booked.. we plan on visiting the grande (since you can go to the other resorts) - but i guess the grande and regency are kinda far from each other but whatevs, we'll spend a day.

We're doing Sandals Grande Antigua that was our favorite resort..but I was looking at the St. Lucia one and know many people that have gone and loved it ,y only draw back was it is 2 hours from the airport on a windy narrow road I think or you can take a helicopter ride which I am petrified of and I have motion sickness..yea I'm a real winner lol so I need to be knocked out of a flight and that's about it..lol but the resort there is suposed to be amazing! I don't know anything about Jamiaca on my friend had booked there but due to weather or something they switched to Antigua where we are going. HTH!

St. Lucia!!!!!!!!!
it is seriosuly spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!! the most beautiful place ever!
i know that Jamaica might be a bit cheaper, but i have been there and let me tell you, even on some of the resorts, people will cheat the system and come into the water and try to sell you things.
plus, if you do want to leave the resort, i'm sorry, JMO, but it ghetto. its a poor country and people will try to con you and sell you drugs. i wouldn't want that on my HM (this all happened to me)

St. Lucia, is serene, relaxed, calm and simply breathtaking. the people are so friendly and welcoming and make you feel like your billionaires since they treat you l ike one

actually, if you take a plane to the other airport on the island, you can avoid this windy road and its not as long of a ride

Re: HONEYMOON HELP!!!!

oh! and i forgot to add! St. Lucia has the most sandals resorts of any islands, so you have more options of restaurants to dine in and you can hotel hop to other resorts and have fun at activites there!
