Hi... I have never been to Barbados but, I have a friend that lives there and she says it is amazing and so does everyone who has gone to visit her. I have been to the Atlantis and honestly it is not all it is cracked up to be. It was 4,000 for 4 days inc. airfare. It was beautiful but, honestly everything outside closes around 5 or 6 pm (can't remember exactly) The only night life is the casino and if that's what you like go for it!!! You have to travel into Nassau (just across a bridge) to get real night life. I guess it didn't meet my expectations cause I expected some sort of night life. We went last June-July and the weather also sucked... It may have just been my experience there. My FIL's go 2X's a year and love it but they are also in their 50's. See what other people have to say... again it just may have been a bad time of year to be there! GOOD LUCK!

Personally i LOVED ATLANTIS...we had a blast and i thought it was one of the most beautiful places ever! I loved all the tanks and beautiful fish....

I absolutely loved barbados. Atlantis is full of children. It is also really large.

Have you priced out Atlantis? FH and I wanted to go there for our honeymoon and it would have ended up costing us a fortune! Over $7000 for the week. Sorry, but we need a house...
Doing a cruise instead.
BUT, if you can do it, GO FOR IT!!!!!!! Best of luck!

I voted for barbados. One reason is because it is not a touristy feeling island..meaning you have great options available. You can opt to do tourist things or just sit back and blend in with the locals.

I was at the Atlantis 9 years ago, when I was 16. It was magnificent then, and it has expanded since. I thought about going back for our HM.
I have only been in Barbados once, as a stop on the cruise, so I can't tell you much about it, but I think the Atlantis is a great choice!

Absolutely! Barbados resorts are really nice. They are less factory-like than Atlantis. Atlantis is more like Disney World...its more gimmicky. In barbados we stayed at the Fairmont Glitter Bay. We did not research any of the resorts because it was a spontaneous trip that we booked two days before we left. It turned out to be really nice and quiet. The food in Barbados is much better than bahamas.

Barbados was a stop on the cruise we took and it was beautiful. We only saw part of the island, but we liked what we saw.
I have never been to Atlantis, but I have been the Bahamas and I didn't care much for it. But, I assume there are tons to do at Atlantis.
Of course, if you guys like to gamble, then go to Atlantis. I don't believe there are any casinos in Barbados.
