Honeymoon in Florida? Can any help me with this?

FH and I are going to take a trip for a week to FLA after the wedding for our mini-moon and then a big trip to Europe in October.


Neither have us have been to florida (well except disney when I was 6)

I am having trouble finding the right places for honeymooners and am worried I might book some place in a bad area or something.

Can anyone help?

I was going to suggest Key West - very laid back and low key. Beautiful sunsets that would be romantic on your HM with the man you love. I would recommend the Wyndham Casa Marina

I have heard good things about Marco & Sanibel Islands.

South Beach Miami looks cool too.

We went to Disney for our HM so I would receommend there too.

I second, third, and fourth Key West.

Sanibel Island is also great.

There is even a place called Honeymoon Island and while it's not that exciting in itself, it is the only place where you can catch a ferry to the very remote and romantic Caladesi Island, which is consistently ranked in the top ten beaches in the country.

Miami/Ft.Lauderdale is great. Lots to do and great beaches.

Visit Parrot Jungle while you're there.

We are going to Disney. You can't go wrong there! It can be very romantic and i hear they treat newlyweds like royalty!

Also, west palm beach area is beautiful! what vero beach?

I really can't thank you enough. Before I couldn't find a single place that I really loved now I have a whole bunch to look into!!!!


When I searched Marco Island, it was a lot of realestate and not to much info on their tourism website, does anyone have a particular place they like?


Twobugs-what a cute avatar! Thanks for all the info! I saw honeymoon island when I was searching but didnt click on it because it seemed to obvious and thought it was going to be some annoying advertisement. How funny there really is a place!!!!

endlessluv429& divabride- I never even considered Disney before, but now I am seriously thinking about doing it! We love fun stuff like that.

I stayed at the Marriott in Marco Island when I was there and it was fabulous!

I LOVE Sanibel.. It is gorgeous.. but not much to do there other than beach and pool.. My in laws have property on the beach down there and we go there every year and we all usually take day trips to Captiva and go kayacking, hiking and such.. it such a blast.. I love it down there!

As for Marco island I am working on the info for you, my cousin just got back last week and said it was so tranquil and amazing, so i will let you know.
As for flowers John is up there we are meeting with one that our Caterer recommends on Saturday and we will make our decision over the weekend. He is awesome though,, i will not doubt that.....

MARCO ISLAND!!!

I love it there....I go at least once a year....my DH also loves it.

We always stay at the Marco Island Marriott. They just added a brand new spa and renovated their golf couse.

Also, the sun set is beautiful!!!
