We are trying to plan our HM there & was wondering if anyone could recommend places to go, things to see, restaurants to eat?

Re: Honeymoon in Rome
I was there in college..... I can't for the life of me remember where I stayed.... but, trust me when I say this..... anywhere you pick to eat will be good. Even the McDonald's in Rome was better than here.
We would just pick little cafes and they were always amazing.
There is so much to do there, and, I would definitely try to get to other places too. I was in Rome, Florence and Venice.... I loved Venice..... I could live there.
In Rome, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum are must see..... the Pope was out when we were there, but, for some reason, we missed it.

Also, keep in mind, it will be just as cold there as it is here in January.... if not colder.

Re: Honeymoon in Rome
It could be.... it depends on how far north in Italy you travel..... their weather is basically the same as here..... so, it will definitely be cold.

Re: Honeymoon in Rome
I've been to Rome and Barcelona in February and it's been a little warmer than LI when we were there. I remember it in the 40's if your lucky 50's but it also can be in the 30's. Ya never know.
How long were you planning on going for? I would do Rome and something else.
As for Barcelona, I was also do another city as well. We were there a couple days and I was ready to move on to another location.
If you want warmer weather go to the south of spain. Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, malaga etc...It's beautiful. go to google images and type on these places. That's where I would go! Just my opinion though.
FM me if you want more info.

Omigod, TOTALLY do Barcelona!!! I haven't been, but my FH is...now he's European and has been to like a crazy amount of countries and cities and he says he has never loved any city as much as he loved Barcelona. He said the people and the food were just amazing and it was absolutely goreougous...if you do go, check out anything and everything by Antoni Gaudí. AMazingly beautiful things.
