Hi, Anyone staying in the good 'ol US of A for your honeymoon??? Looking for somewhere with a beachy tropical feel within the US. Please dont shoot me but I am not a florida fan so anywhere but there Thanks in advance....

Not sure if you meant continental US or not but Hawaii seems to be an obvious choice here.

We're going to Hawaii. Also, we went to Scottsdale a few years ago and it was beautiful. The weather is great and there are some really beautiful resorts there.

Thanks for the ideas...was thinking about California but was wondering if there are any other places that I am missing that dont require a long flight. Is it 6 / 7 hour flight to California?

Look into Naples, Florida. It is so very Caribbean like especially for the time of year you would be honeymooning. It has a very tropical feel and it right on the gulf. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton down there and have a spectacular time!
I read the last part of your post about not wanting Florida. Naples is really nothing like the rest of Florida. It is worth looking in to.

Napa is nice so is Naples, FLorida. There are some high end resorts there.

Savannah, Georgia is beautiful and there are beaches just outside the city. What about Hilton Head? Also, not so tropical, but Lake Tahoe in Califonia/Nevada is beautiful. There are beaches and they have casinos on the Nevada side of the lake.
