Honeymoon locations

Is anyone going to, know anyone or ever been to Turks and Caicos? We are almost definitly going there because for some reason ever since we got engaged we said we would.

But I would love some reviews.

a coworker of mine went and said it was beautiful....the water is amazingly clear....I want to go since it seems less hectic than other islands.

Re: Honeymoon locations

We're booked for Turks and Caicos in November also. Going for six nights and staying at The Sands at Grace Bay. Book soon, or else the flight prices are going to go up. Ours have already gone up a bit.

I've heard it's beautiful and that it's pretty quiet there, but that in a few years, it will probably become more popular for people to go to which might make it lose its appeal.

There's some touring place that offers this island getaway thing where they drop you off on a private beach all for yourselves with wine and lunch and stuff. I want to do that!

Thanks-that sounds nice. Are you doing that through your hotel? We will probably be staying at the Beaches. What Island is you hotel on?

Re: Honeymoon locations

I can probably book it through the hotel. I think they deal with J&B Tours which is the place that I think has it. It's only like $190/couple, or somewhere around there.

We're going to Providenciales. That's probably the most populated island there. You must be staying there too because I think there's a Beaches there also.

When you book, check with Liberty Travel how much they quote because they gave me the best one.

I went there years ago to the Club Med and I loved it - such a beautiful island! and amazing snorkeling!

Re: Honeymoon locations

Yeah, I had to book with a travel agency because the travel websites didn't offer air/hotel packages with the Sands. If you're not booking for a few days, look at those sites everyday because when I booked a trip for Hawaii last year, I looked at it one day, and it was $100 less per person than it was the day before.

I've never been, but a friend of mine who has travelled to most of islands and said that Turks is her favorite. She says the color of the ocean is like nowhere else. She visits the island every year.

Re: Honeymoon locations

I went there last summer, it was a gorgeous Island. We stayed at the Sandals resort and had a good time. The nights were pretty slow because there isn't much too the Island beyond the resorts and it was a family resort, but if you are looking just to hang out all week - its great.
